NATALIE R. DAVIES

Natalie is a dedicated theatrical designer with extensive experience in various areas of theatre design. She believes in the power of storytelling and aims to push the boundaries of this collaborative art form. Her motto is "It's a challenge, not a problem," reflecting her positive and determined attitude. Currently, Natalie is the Assistant Professor of Design at Lees-McRae College and works as the Resident Scenic Designer, Lighting Designer, Scenic Charge, and Production Manager. With 20 years of experience in theatrical design, Natalie completed her MFA in Design for Theatre at The University of North Carolina, Greensboro, in 2021. She initially studied theatre at The University of Wales and has since worked as a Lighting Designer, participating in a wide range of theatre genres from Shakespeare with The Young Shakespeare Company to rock concerts with David Essex. In 2015, she relocated from the UK to the USA and collaborated with Thin Air Theatre company in Colorado.

Additionally, she has undertaken guest design roles at colleges such as Sweet Briar and Randolph College as a Scenic and Lighting Designer. Natalie has also dedicated 18 years to Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Centre, where she serves as the Assistant Production Manager and Scenic Designer. In this capacity, Natalie leads multiple teams, including Scenic, Lighting Design, Paint, and Sound teams. Natalie's passion for theatre and her extensive experience in various roles makes her a valuable asset to the theatrical community.
